Join Our Steel Press Operator Team

Work You Will Do:

  • Read and understand OMS job instructions; prepare workstation and equipment for production.
  • Operate press to punch and form parts according to specifications.
  • Perform die changeovers and select appropriate materials.
  • Troubleshoot setup-related issues and seek support when necessary.
  • Adjust and secure hold down bolts, dies, springs, and pins; lubricate as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork and housekeeping tasks as assigned.
  • Conduct quality checks, including first and last part inspections.
  • Maintain workstation organization, report shortages, and perform rework as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, safety documents and build plans
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Must be certified in all level one stations on the assembly line according to JCMS standards.
  • Should have Grade 2 Steel Press experience
  • Must be able to use the following equipment:
  • Presses (over 70 tons), dies, and gap frame equipment
  • Vacuum and magnetic sheet lifters
  • Material handling tools (lift jacks, dollies)
  • Oil spray guns and brushes
  • Measuring gauges (rulers, micrometers, calipers)
  • Safety devices and small hand tools
  • Materials including metal sheets, coils, parts, scrap, lubricants, and drawing compounds.
